Oxnard Union High School District is made up of 15,000 students and over 1,000 teachers and staff across 21 sites. Jay Sorensen, Oxnard Union HSD’s EdTech Coordinator understands the value of choice-driven learning and had already practiced this as a teacher and then as a professional learning leader. He was only limited by learners’ availability. After school was the main window of opportunity for professional development, and that just wasn’t enough.
